Creation Station South Woodford **Review**

I have been looking for an afternoon group to go to with Chloe for ages, most of the ones I have found are either in the morning or on my days at work.I come across Creation Station at the Wanstead Festival the other week, and signed up for a taster session.

They have groups in Loughton, Wanstead and South Woodford, and even do a Saturday morning group.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, as other groups I have been to have not been very friendly or very well run but this one is different.

It is run by a lovely lady called Benedita, as soon as we walked in the door she made us feel welcome and Chloe was happily chatting away to her. As the other children arrived she knew all the mums and dads names as well as the children and everyone looked super happy to see her and to be there.

All the children are provided with splash suits/coveralls and there are aprons for the parents. Chloe took her socks off so she could really get messy.

Today’s activity was based on “roly poly”. They made a picture with conkers, rolled cardboard in glitter paint, and painting with rollers. All the parts were to be used for a grand finale of a hanging mobile.

Chloe had a great time making a mess, and using all the different materials. It s great for her to do messy play and it’s not all over my kitchen table. Benedita is really good with all the children and showing them what to do (and the adults).

The session last for 50 minutes and Chloe was entertained the whole way through, and so was I! The age group ranges from  18 months –  4 years, and they also do arty parties.

If you are looking for a new group in the Redbridge area I would 100% recommend Creation Station. They have a Facebook page –  please go and take a look! We can’t wait to go  back next week.
