It’s the little things

wp-1478164568180.jpgParenting is by far the hardest job in the world. It has the longest hours, the most demanding boss. There are also the most absurd request and tantrums.

You didn’t realise it was someone to go so batshit crazy over being given a sandwich cut in to squares instead of triangles, or god forbid you give them the wrong flavour juice.

How is it possible for someone so small to drive you to the brink of insanity and then pull you straight back again, by simply saying “Mama, I love you”

And as soon as they have said it, you know they have either done something they shouldn’t or are about to!

But in that one moment, all the sleepless nights, the mess, the uneaten meals are all forgotten about. And you remember that it is the little things like this that matter the most.

  1. Hi Mummy Em, parenting is the most testing and at the same time the most rewarding thing we will ever do. And those four words act like a healing balm for all the stress little (and big ones) can cause.

Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC.
