Christmas in London

London is beautiful at anytime of the year but there is something very special about London at Christmas.

There are a million and one things you can do in London at Christmas from shopping to shows.

Here is my list of kid friendly options:

Things to do

Winter Wonderland Hyde Park

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit there really is not better way than Winter Wonderland. What I like is it can be as cheap or expensive as you choose. It is free entry and there is a wide range of activities for different ages. They have rides, food and drink, ice skating rink (booking required) and a circus.

Photos with Santa at Mothercare – Romford and Edmonton

fb_img_1478507667028This is new at the newly revamped Romford store, but the Edmonton one have been doing for a few years. If it is anything like other events at Mothercare I would advise going early. I am heading to this later this month so will report back!

Christmas Festival Westfield & Elves work shop

Oh I do love Westfield, and a free event! This looks fab and a great way to start off Christmas. There is musical performances, children workshops and festive food and drink.

The Elves work shop is run in one of the empty units and looks like fab fun for the little ones to get their imagination going.

We are going to this on the 19th November and I can’t wait!

Children’s festive activities – Canary Wharf

A free event for children to enjoy festive arts and crafts which includes making a festive stocking. Run throughout December.

Glitterbugs – Stratford Story Centre

Enter a wintery cave and try to find some Glitterbugs, a collection of sparkly and glittery but shy creatures.

We love the Discovery Centre so this will be on out list of t hings to do.

Is it really Christmas if you don’t go to the pantomime?

Aladdin – Barking Broadway

Rapunzel – Kenneth Moore Theatre Ilford

Sleeping Beauty – Hackney Empire

Santa’s Grotto

London Zoo

Paradise Wildlife Park – Broxbourne

So there you have my list of things to do in London during the Festive Season. I would love to hear any recommendations you may have.
