I love anything creative especially at Christmas time and salt dough is a great activity especially for little hands that like to get messy.
We have used some Christmas cookie cutters and will turn them into tree decorations and give as gifts for Chloe’s nursery teachers, along with some chocolates.
To make the dough you will need;
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of salt
- 1/2 cup of water
Mix it all together and roll out on to a floured surface, and then use the cutters for your shapes. Last year we done Chloe’s handprints as a nice keep sake for the tree.
Once you have all your shapes place on baking paper lined tray and pop in the over. I cooked them on gas mark 4 for an hour.
All we need to do now is paint them and put the ribbon on and they are all ready.
A lovely easy craft, that is cheap and cheerful. Just be ready to tidy up an avalanche of flour afterwards!
